Movieo Help and FAQ
Here are answers to common questions about browsing and keeping movie lists. You can use the public catalogue without signing in; saving your own lists requires an account.
Can I watch a film on Movieo?
Movieo is a discovery and tracking service, not a streaming service. Where provider information is available, select your country on the film page and check the provider's own current offer.
How do I find something to watch?
Start with Browse Movies and use the release year, genre, runtime and rating filters. Explore a published list if you want a selection made around a particular theme. On a film page you can check its synopsis, cast, runtime and related titles.
For example, narrow the catalogue to science fiction from the 1980s with a runtime below two hours. Combining a few filters is usually more useful than choosing from the entire catalogue.
What are Watchlist, Seenlist and Blacklist?
Watchlist keeps films you want to see. Seenlist records those you have watched. Blacklist keeps titles you do not want to see. The browsing controls can hide films from these lists so you can concentrate on other choices.
Are my lists public?
Newly created lists are private by default and do not appear in the public list stream until you publish them. A list can still be shared by its direct link; avoid putting personal or sensitive information in its title or notes.
Can I import or export my lists?
The account menu includes Import/Export tools for existing lists, including supported IMDb, iCheckMovies and CSV imports. Review the destination list before importing. The restore tool can undo your most recent import; earlier imports cannot be reverted through that tool.
Why is a rating missing, or availability different from a provider's site?
Movieo depends on external data and not every record has every field. N/A means a rating is unavailable in Movieo's records. Streaming catalogues change and availability depends on location, so check the provider before paying. If a film record is wrong, send us its Movieo URL and the detail to correct.
Do I need Premium?
Browsing the catalogue, keeping lists and tracking films do not require a paid plan. Optional Premium plans add AI recommendations and other features. The Premium tab lists the current prices and allowances. Recommendations can be useful starting points, but are not a guarantee that you will enjoy a film.
