Top Critics Reviews
rotten:
Admirable and respectable, it engages you while you're watching it, then leaves you empty and wanting more.

rotten:
Essentially an 84-minute shoulder shrug captured onscreen, "Big Significant Things" is the latest American independent feature to suggest there are few things more intriguing than a young white guy trying to find himself.
– Justin Chang,
Variety,

rotten:
"Big Significant Things" is a cute idea in search of substance.
– Neil Genzlinger,
New York Times,

rotten:
It's all too easy to put a twentysomething protagonist through the motions of a quarter-life crisis and insist you've had an idea, which is what writer-director Bryan Reisberg does with Big Significant Things.
– Abby Garnett,
Village Voice,

fresh:
A good-looking debut offering more atmosphere than action.
