She is also known for her roles as Chloe Williams - blind mother of Julia Roberts' character Laura Burney - in Sleeping with the Enemy (1991), Mrs. Blair in We're No Angels (with Robert DeNiro, Sean Penn and Demi Moore), Rebecca Nurse in The Crucible (1996), and the school nurse in Unbreakable (2000) - released the year of her death.
