Abhijit Mahesh

**Abhijit Mahesh** (born 31 July) is an acclaimed Indian screenwriter, dialogue writer, and film director who predominantly works in Kannada cinema. Known for his sharp wit, engaging character dynamics, and close association with Rakshit Shetty's Paramvah Studios, he has emerged as a prominent creative voice in contemporary Sandalwood.

Mahesh made his cinematic breakthrough as a dialogue writer for the massive 2016 college blockbuster *Kirik Party*. His relatable, humorous, and youth-centric writing played a significant role in the film's massive commercial success and immediately established him as a highly sought-after talent in the industry.

Following his debut, he became a core contributor to the writing teams behind several major Kannada hits. He penned dialogues and contributed to the screenplays of critically acclaimed films such as *Katheyondu Shuruvagide* (2018), Rishab Shetty's National Award-winning *Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shaale, Kasaragodu, Koduge: Ramanna Rai* (2018), the fantasy adventure *Avane Srimannarayana* (2019), and the pan-Indian emotional drama *777 Charlie* (2022). He has also occasionally made on-screen appearances in supporting roles within these projects.

In 2024, Mahesh made his directorial debut with the comedy entertainer *Bachelor Party*. Produced by Rakshit Shetty, the film featured a prominent cast including Diganth, Yogesh, and Achyuth Kumar, marking a significant milestone in his successful transition from a prolific writer to a full-fledged filmmaker.
