Overview
Comprised of two wonderfully kinky tales mating sexuality with death. The first story, starring Bowie Lam and Eva Zhao, puts a shocking spin on the Fatal Attraction scenario. The second, featuring Yumi Choz, involves a mortuary make-up artist whose new boyfriend (Vincent Lam) is concerned about the inordinate amount of time she chooses to spend late at night with her corpses.

Top critics, in their words
First-time writer-director Anja Marquardt paints a pointed, emotionally honest portrait of a woman detached from the public yet unable to avoid such typical life problems as a dysfunctional family and a straitened financial situation.
"She's Lost Control" sustains a mood of deepening alienation, but the attitude of the movie is too detached for it to be emotionally gripping, and its ending is botched.
There's a lot left unsaid in director Anja Marquardt's chilly yet intimate and thought-provoking indie drama. But what should be said loud and clear is that actress Brooke Bloom is riveting.
Marquardt leaves too much intentional ambiguity for her film to fall victim to predictability.
