Liliomfi is a 1954 Hungarian comedy film directed by Károly Makk. It was entered into the 1955 Cannes Film Festival. Set in the "Golden Era" of the wandering Hungarian theatre troupes. Soon the couple must contend with the professor's plan to make Liliomfi give up his "unrespectable" profession of acting by exposing the professor's hypocrisy, greed, and tyrannical selfishness.

A Very Moral Night
(1977)
The theme of the delightful Hungarian fantasy film "A Very Moral Night," made in 1977 and now playing at the Public Theater, could well be innocence, even if the action does take place in a bordello. It is a good bordello, so sweet and wholesome that it seems a place of pure beauty and Eden-like charm.
