De Rijk Strikes Back
Overview
Steven Soderbergh's edit of Michelangelo Antonioni's Blow-Up. As this recut by Steven Soderbergh illustrates, even iconic auteurs like Antonioni have had to tangle with rights and clearance issues. To belatedly satisfy the concerns of MGM, Soderbergh has recut Antonioni’s movie to remove offending footage, which includes the performance of Sarah Miles.
